About Kids Paradise Daycare & OSC
Our Story
Founded in 2016 by two early-childhood educators who dreamed of a nature-rich "paradise" for young learners, Kids Paradise Daycare & OSC has grown into five vibrant classrooms plus a dedicated out-of-school club.
Kids Paradise Daycare & OSC is a fully licensed and accredited child-care centre serving infants through grade-schoolers right here in St. Albert. Our play-based program follows FLIGHT: Alberta's Early Learning and Care Curriculum Framework, helping children build confidence, curiosity and compassion from the very first day. Parents benefit from significant fee reductions through Alberta's Affordability Grant and Child-Care Subsidy, bringing costs as low as $15 per day for eligible families. See Alberta.ca for more details.
Accreditation under Alberta's Standards of Excellence confirms we exceed licensing ratios, create culturally responsive learning spaces, and maintain rigorous professional-development plans. For more information on these standards, please visit Alberta.ca.
Meet the Team
All our educators hold Alberta ECE certification (Levels 1-3) and current first-aid/CPR. Level 3 staff possess two-year diplomas or degrees in Early Learning, ensuring deep knowledge of child development. Further details on certification can be found at Alberta.ca.

Outdoor & Community Connections
Children play twice daily in our fenced yard and join Forest Fridays in nearby Dorchester Park, benefiting from risk-balanced outdoor learning that supports gross-motor and executive-function skills. These activities are guided by principles from Cultivate the Conversation and NAEYC guidelines on outdoor play.
We also partner with City of St. Albert Safe Journeys to reinforce active-travel safety for our children and families.
Health, Safety & Accessibility
- Licensed inspections occur at least twice a year; our most recent inspection report is posted in the lobby. More information on licensing can be found at Alberta Health Services.
- Secure keypad entry is in place, and common areas are monitored by live CCTV for enhanced security.
- Monthly evacuation drills are conducted following federal accessibility-inclusive guidelines (Government of Canada).
- We perform daily symptom screening for all individuals entering the centre, and employ hospital-grade electrostatic sanitizing at the close of each day.
- Indoor air quality is actively monitored by CO₂ sensors, which are tied to our HVAC system to boost fresh-air circulation as needed.
